So here it is.. really.
And so begins my last week as a staff member at FC! Ive decided to step down and try something new and exciting! Change. Conflict. Growth! So, with this week, I’ll be doing a lot of preparing and cleaning up so I can be ready for Monday!
Probably the most exciting part of this whole decision is the fact that I now am able to attend AND volunteer at FC! Something I’ve been doing joyfully here and there.. I’m ready for a new view of the church. Being able to participate as an actual member. This is very exciting and I am ready to step out and reach others in a way I havent been able to before!
I’ve been attending FC since 2003 and basically began volunteering right off the bat. I was new to the area from a blistering Ontario, Canada and just needed a way to make friends. So a began ‘hanging around’ the media dept and the childrens dept and made more friends than I could have asked for! I was hired on in ‘04 and did odd jobs everywhere and at all hours of the day or night. Everything from Adventure Week, Finance, Bookstore, Media (i knew absolutely zip about media…) (so that didnt last long!) and last but not least, Camp. My absolute favorite of them all.
So, Its been a good run! I’ve learned more that I would have ever expected! Learned about Christ, friendships.. working for a church is a calling! And I have no doubt that It is a calling I feel very strongly, but right now, Its time for me to take a step back and view things from a different perspective.
